Creation
The God of the Bible created this world, he created everything with His word, and He did it all in six, twenty-four hour days. God made everything perfect without a single defect, without sin, without problems.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:....
Isa 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

He put the first man and woman in the Garden of Eden... literally a paradise. It had abundant food, they had no need of clothing, and it was complete in every way. God also gave man something very important, a free will, the ability to choose. Man must not be a robot; he must choose whom he would follow.
Unfortunately, Adam disobeyed the only command that God had given him. He sinned... and now we are all sinners. We are born depraved, sinful, with a sin nature, and without the capability to do right or to please God.
Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
We are inherently evil. Many people would perhaps argue and even disagree, but who is the judge? If you or I are the judge then the statement becomes subjective because we might say, some people are good and some are bad. But we are not the Judge, God is, because He is the Creator, and thus He makes the rules. Below is how He sees us....
Romans 3:10-18 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (11) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (13) Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:(14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: (15) Their feet are swift to shed blood: (16) Destruction and misery are in their ways: (17) And the way of peace have they not known: (18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Because we are sons of Adam we are born into sin.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The Law Condemns Mankind
God gave man a law, that law is called the Ten Commandments. At some point in our life everybody has failed or fallen short of these high standards of perfection. We have to keep the entire "law" or we violate the entire law.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all
Many people think that if we will only "be good" and do good works than surely we will go to heaven, but that is simply not enough. Our good works are unacceptable to God. He doesn't see them the way we do.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God demands from man what man cannot do... to be perfect. So, for us there is no hope... or is there?
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Bible says that the wages (price) of sin is death...We are born sinners, and then we choose to sin, we are truly sinners through and through. And the cost of sin is death and hell, eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire. Jesus told us,...
Luke 12:4-5 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. (5) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Jesus fulfills the Law, and pays the price for our sin
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
But there is good news. God made a plan from before the foundation of the world to save us. A way to rescue us from Adam's sin and from our own sin... Because He loves us He made a way for us... there is no other way, but there is ONE way to go back to paradise, to go to heaven when you die. There is one way... it is through God himself.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
His son Jesus lived on this earth, died a cruel death and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures (the prophecies). Every prophecy concerning the Messiah that God had made, Jesus fulfilled. We CAN be saved from our sin.
Romans 10:9-15 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Friend, to be saved you must repent (be sorry for your sin), you must believe that Jesus died for you in your place on the cross, and that he rose from the dead. If you believe, call upon Him and ask Him to save you... He will, immediately. Won’t you be saved today?
